EXPERIMENT 01 / FISHING / READY TO PLAY
Brasswake Cast
Slide your boat beneath a fish, then drop the line to catch it before your six casts run out.

The model is ready. Start when you are.
FIELD NOTES
A copper boat, a restless canal and six chances to read the water.
Brasswake is a small timing experiment set beneath the old waterworks. Fish follow their own routes across the canal, so the best catch comes from waiting for a clear crossing rather than dropping the hook at every movement. Each successful cast adds ten points; an empty cast simply uses one of your six attempts.
A useful observation
Watch the middle of the fish, not its tail. Position the boat first, then release the line as the fish approaches. The canal keeps moving while the hook descends.
Controls, pauses and accessibility
Use the labelled buttons or the keyboard. Left and right arrows move or aim; where an action button is shown, Space performs that action. Tap the controls on a phone. Pause stops motion, and Restart clears only this round. A reduced-motion preference disables decorative animation; the game still shows the movement needed to play.
Best scores stay in this visit unless optional device storage is enabled. They are personal records, not a public leaderboard.
